Since we don't have a physical location, fosters and volunteers are vital to our cause and the animals who need our help.

Volunteers
We are always looking for volunteer drivers for transport,
vetting appointments, and donation pickups. As well as support for our thrift store and foster parents.
If you would be interested in becoming one of our volunteers, please fill out a Volunteer Application (under formsor email us at spcaofpc@gmail.com.

Fosters
We provide everything you need and will be there with you every step of the way. We recommend having a secure safe space for your fosters to decompress, adjust, or remain during the foster period. Most fosters will be newly vaccinated, disoriented, and overwhelmed, so giving them their own space helps them relax and adjust while they build up their immune system. Most animals aren't considered well vaccinated until 2 weeks after their second set of vaccines (so typically a month) which is why we require any personal pets to be fully vaccinated.

Fostering can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months, but you will have our contact information if you have any questions, concerns, or updates. We ask that fosters have reliable transportation since most fosters will have at least 2 appointments during this time: booster vaccines and a spay/neuter date. We are happy to assist in getting them to these appointments, but they are vitally important, so fosters must be prepared to work with us.

If you would be interested in becoming a foster or have any further questions, please fill out a Foster Application (under forms) or email us at info@spcaofpittsylvaniacounty.org
