Lola came to us from a shelter in central VA. She had trust issues with new people, but our volunteers were able to earn her trust with time. She was truly a happy girl. It was learned after a few months that she had severe kidney failure and her body was beginning to shut down. So at her side, her foster mom held her while she was relieved of her misery. This is always a hard decision to make, but her suffering is no more. We are just glad to know she was loved up until her last day.
