Leif

Going on a cruise is supposed to be a nice relaxing event right? Normally, thats the case for Mike and Janet Wanless. However, just a week before going on their cruise, they met and fell in love with our Leif. Before they even left for their vacation they couldn't wait to get back and adopt him! Leif had been with the league for over a year anxiously awaiting his forever home. Looks like he found it! Special thanks to the Wanless' for giving Leif a second chance at happiness!

BELLA

Bella came to the AWLOPC scared to death. she was unsure of her surroundings, and was very antisocial with the other dogs. Now that she is in her very own home, she has opened up quite a lot! See her here chilling with her sibling! Thanks to AWLOPC for saving her life!

Freckles

Freckles (now Tucker) is living the good life! He roams around in his extra large yard with his sister, Josie, and brother, Scooter. He is eager to learn his manners and has come a long way since being saved from the pound earlier this year. He is a wonderful addition to his new family! Thanks to the AWLOPC for giving him a chance at the good life!

Scooter

Scooter was transferred to a different rescue, where a nice family with another beagle came to meet him. The family took "Keegan" to meet Scooter and they got along wonderfully! Another great tale of a Pittsylvania County pound pup! Thanks AWLOPC for saving his life and allowing him to enjoy his new home!

Andy

Andy was rescued from the pound at the very last second! Good thing too, his new parents are absolutely in love with him! He has a nice fenced backyard with a sunny patio a few steps down from the family room - lots of dogs in the neighborhood and he already met a few. So things are looking good for Andy. Thanks to the AWLOPC for saving him and giving him a second chance at happiness. He surely deserves it!
